Gold broke $3,080 overnight to print a new all-time high. Five of the highest-rated macro voices in our network flagged continuation above $3,050 over the past week. This is what we mean by signal.
Real yields are rolling over against a softening dollar. Central-bank gold accumulation has remained persistent through the quarter. The break above the prior high is the technical trigger; the independent alignment across our source weighting is the conviction. We assign 96 — our highest reading since the November turn.
Elsewhere, equities are bid into the open with the S&P testing 5,900. Semiconductors continue to weaken into NVDA earnings tomorrow — the ratio of cautious to bullish source readings has crossed our threshold for the first time since June. We are flagging SMH for monitoring, not yet for action.

Five highest-rated macro voices independently flagged continuation above $3,050 over the past week. Real yields rolling over against a softening dollar. Central-bank bid persistent. The breakout above the prior high is the trigger; the alignment is the conviction.
Context · The Macro Read
A regime in which gold leads.
The setup that historically precedes durable gold rallies is in place: real yields softening, a dollar topping pattern, central-bank accumulation, and risk-asset froth that tempts reallocation. We have been progressively raising our XAU conviction since 14 March, when our network first crossed 70.
Notably, the signal is not predicated on a single thesis. Three of our five contributing voices are framed around real rates; one is framed around dollar reserve dynamics; one is framed around physical demand from Asia. The alignment across three independent framings is what produces the 96 reading. Single-thesis signals top out around 78.
What we're watching · Today & tomorrow
-
Wed 14:00 EST
FOMC minutes — market pricing two cuts by September. Source weighting on the dovish read sits at 64.
-
Thu 16:00 EST
NVDA earnings — semiconductor conviction at 78, just below threshold. We will reassess SMH direction after.
-
Fri 08:30 EST
Nonfarm payrolls — consensus 175k. Whisper closer to 140k. Sub-150k print would push UST 10Y conviction back above threshold.
-
Fri 16:00 EST
Weekly options expiry — SPX max pain at 5,850. Notable gamma flip if we close above 5,920.
Secondary Reads · 30 April 2026
Equities
SPX testing 5,900 — gamma map flips above 5,920.
Dealer positioning has rotated to short gamma above 5,920, which would amplify any further upside through Friday's expiry. Source weighting on continuation sits at 71 — above watch threshold but below action threshold.
Crypto
Bitcoin holding 87,000 — ETH/BTC ratio rolling.
BTC dominance has resumed an uptrend after the brief April rotation. Three of our crypto-native sources have flagged ETH underperformance into the next quarterly print. We are not active here but flagging the rotation.
Macro
Dollar topping pattern — DXY through 104.
DXY has lost the 104 handle for the first time since January. The pattern is consistent with our previously flagged dollar peak; conviction sits at 73 with reassessment scheduled for Friday's payroll print.
The selectivity is the brand. When we publish a 96, we mean it.
